"Terri Azie makes the kind of music that feels lived-in rather than manufactured, drawing from classic rock, blues, pop, and Americana while keeping the focus squarely on sharp storytelling and an expressive, seasoned voice. Azie sounds less like an artist looking backward at a long musical life than one discovering just how much she still has to say."
The daughter of a music teacher and a drama teacher, Terri Azie grew up in a musical household, learning to sing and play multiple instruments at a young age. Primarily a singer-songwriter, Terri also plays piano, trumpet, and guitar.
She had her first paying gig at age 17, and, for over 40 years she has performed with a wide variety of bands, from duos to 7-piece wedding bands; from country to rock to pop cover bands; and musical theater. Terri was part of the national award-winning production team, Mill House Productions, for 9 years at Smart's Mill Middle School where she coached hundreds of students in the annual spring musicals.
In 2017, she launched TerriSings, a voice lesson and audition prep studio in Leesburg, VA, where she continues to pass on her passion for singing and performing to young singers and actors. Terri continues to perform music by adding her vocal and keyboard talents to local acts in the DC area. She is a prolific singer-songwriter who has published one album (“Good For You”) and several singles under her independent label, TerriSings. Her records have garnered positive reviews and landed on multiple Spotify and YouTube playlists. She is currently working on a second album.

Terri has done wonders for my daughter's vocal development by building her technique and confidence as a singer over time. That growth shows up clearly in her auditions, where Terri helps her choose and prepare songs and monologues that truly fit her voice and the role, and coaches my daughter through them with patience and encouragement.

Terri Azie helped me get accepted to the vocal music program at Temple University! She was clear, encouraging, and very knowledgable about classical and vocal techniques.

Ms. Azie is a talented coach who shares her deep knowledge of music in every lesson. She really cares about the development of her students and is a wonderful musician. I have worked with Ms Azie for over a year now and my vocals have improved tremendously because of her coaching.
